The Shortfin mako sharks are found all around the world.They are one of the largest most seen sharks in the Atlantic ocean. One thing different about these sharks from other sharks are that they have weged teeth. the bigger the shark the more weged there teeth are .

       The Shortfin Mako shark is one of the fastest sharks in the world. It can travel up to 22 miles per hour. They also are very good jumpers and thats why fisherman go after them. The Scientific name for the Shortfin mako shark is Isurus. the family they are in is called laminade. Mostly larger Mako sharks are found in colder waters rather then the warmer waters. The Shortfin mako Shark is at the top of the food chain in the Atlantic oceans. This means Apex predators.

        There are two main kind of Mako sharks ,the Shortfin Mako and the Long fin Mako shark. The main diference is that the Longfin has longfin fins and they are also bigger. Also the size in there eyes are alot different. the Longfin Mako sharks eyes are bigger than the Shortfin makos eyes.
