The scientific name for the Black Sea Bass is Centropris tisstriata.

The only predators of the Black Sea Bass are humans.
They eat other fish, crabs, mussels razor clams, shrimp, amphipods and isopods.
Black Sea Bass regurgitate their food to attract small fish.
Black Sea Bass are reported to live up to 20 years.
Black Sea Bass are protogynous hermaphrodites.
That means when they are small and young they are females but when they get older and larger they turn into males.
They live in water depths that can get up to 300 m.
